Day 2 - Money Blueprint
(Self-limiting beliefs)

Good morning ladies!

Did you know that there is enough money in the world for each of us to be a millionaire? 

That just means that you and I and also your postman could be a millionaire. Let’s play a little game here. Are you ready? 

Let’s assume that I’m an angel visiting planet Earth and I meet you today. I tell you that I looked at the world from above and I saw that there was so much money lying around here and there that people didn’t know about, and I felt that I needed to spread the word among everyone that regardless of where they came from, or what their job was before, each and everyone of you can be a millionaire. You have all the resources to do so, you just haven’t yet learned how to use them in the right way. What would be the first, second etc. thought that comes to your mind? Would you believe me and most importantly do you have faith in yourself to become a millionaire?

Well, probably like most people you would think that I’m a drunk or crazy angel talking rubbish, right?

But in fact my statement is true. We all have the opportunity to become financially free and never ever worry about money again – well, the lack of money to be precise. Unfortunately we are conditioned to think differently. Our deeply ingrained thoughts are holding us back from becoming anything that we just dream about. But the great news is that we can change that. How? Well, if you would like to master the money game, there are certain things you have to do. First of all, you need to change your money blueprint. What do I mean by that? Have you ever wondered why some people become extremely wealthy and successful while others are struggling throughout their lives? Our beliefs and associations around money and wealth are responsible for all that. Our Money Blueprint is guiding us and pulling us towards our financial destiny. It is controlling every decision we make and every action we take in our lives towards money. Unfortunately most of us have inner conflicts and/or limiting beliefs that hold us back from being financially free. I’m sure you can relate to the following beliefs:

  • You need to study hard in order to get rich.
  • Get a job that will give you security.
  • Money is the root of all evil.
  • Rich people are mean.
  • Money doesn’t buy happiness

1. THE FIRST THING WE NEED TO DO WHEN WE REALISE THAT WE ARE FACING A NEGATIVE THOUGHT IS TO FIND THE SOURCE OF IT.

How do we do that? We need to dig deep into memories from our past – childhood, teenage years, early twenties, or even last year – to see what instance or instances brought us to this conclusion.

What other self-limiting beliefs do you have in this area? Please write down anything that you once heard as a child about money, wealth and rich people. Can you recall the moment when you first heard them? How old were you? Who did you hear them from? Try to be as precise as you can.

2. WHAT I WOULD LIKE YOU TO DO NEXT IS TO RECALL A COUNTER INSTANCE WHEN YOU REALISED THAT THE BELIEF THAT YOU HELD ONTO AS ULTIMATE TRUTH WAS NOT ENTIRELY TRUE ANYMORE. 

Let’s say that you as a child always thought that rich people were mean because that was what you heard from your parents. All you need to do is remember an occasion when you met some extremely wealthy individuals and despite your negative beliefs they turned out to be very nice and genuine. This instance would indicate that there was a flaw in the belief system. So take some time now, pause the video again and try to look for examples, past experiences when you realised that your associations around money, wealth and rich people were simply wrong.

3. THE NEXT STEP IS TO LOOK AT THE SITUATION FROM A DIFFERENT ANGLE AND FIND AN ALTERNATIVE REASON TO THE PROBLEM.

So going back to the same example – Rich people are mean – when you analysed this statement a bit further, you understood that wealthy people were not mean, only they were very selective with who they were partnering up with or who they trusted with their money.

4. AFTER UNDERSTANDING WHERE THESE NEGATIVE AND DISEMPOWERING BELIEFS COME FROM, OUR FINAL STEP IS TO ELIMINATE THEM.

This could be done through visualisation, when we close our eyes and imagine that there are two pictures in front of us. In one of these pictures, we are very sad, as thanks to these unsupportive thoughts, we are not living the life we always desired, while on the other photo, we are glowing, as we have everything we have ever wanted. Now, let’s imagine that the image that illustrates a sad, miserable life is slowly getting blurry, and then it completely fades away. All we have in front of us now is the picture where we are smiling, feeling great about our life.

Here, we need to pay attention to our feelings. Who do we see around us when we look at that picture? How do we feel? What do we hear?

The more precise we are in this exercise the easier it is to eliminate that ugly self-limiting belief from our lives for once and for all.

 We can limit our beliefs in many different ways, through experiences, education, faulty facts, excuses, and fear. Many of them were formed and accumulated throughout our childhood. We picked them up through our interactions with others. These beliefs not only don’t serve us, but in fact, they hold us back from having the life we always desired. The great thing is that as you already know eliminating self-limiting beliefs is completely achievable.

CHANGE ALWAYS STARTS WITH AWARENESS, FOLLOWED BY UNDERSTANDING, AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST COMES RECONDITIONING.

CALL TO ACTION: 

PLEASE ANALYSE AND GET RID OF ONE OF YOUR NASTY SELF-LIMITING BELIEFS USING THE STEPS BELOW:

THE FIRST ONE IS TO FIND THE SOURCE OF THIS SELF-LIMITING BELIEF.

THE SECOND IS TO FIND A COUNTER INSTANCE.

THE THIRD ONE IS TO LOOK AT THE SITUATION FROM A DIFFERENT ANGLE AND FIND AN ALTERANTIVE REASON TO THE PROBLEM.

AND THE FOURTH ONE IS TO ELIMINATE THE BELIEF
